Top 5 Health and Fitness Apps in Saudi Arabia: Q2 2022 Performance

The second quarter of 2022 saw notable activity in the health and fitness app sector in Saudi Arabia. Here, we examine the performance of the top 5 apps: Tawakkalna Emergency, صحتي | Sehhaty, Tabaud (COVID-19 KSA), Mawid (موعد), and Sweatcoin Walking Step Counter.

Tawakkalna Emergency experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 85.6K in late March and dropping to approximately 49.9K by mid-June, before recovering slightly to 75.1K by the end of June. Active users also saw a significant decrease, from 4M in late March to about 2M by the end of June.

صحتي | Sehhaty showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, particularly from early May to late June, peaking at nearly 60K. Active users fluctuated but generally increased from 582K in late March to a high of approximately 800K in early June, before declining to around 558K by the end of the quarter.

Tabaud (COVID-19 KSA) saw a consistent decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 23K in late March and falling to just over 10K by the end of June. Active users also declined, from around 1M in late March to about 913K by the end of June.

Mawid (موعد) had a varied download trend, with a notable peak of 34K in early May, but generally declining to 14.2K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 120.7K in early May and decreasing to about 82.6K by late June.

Sweatcoin Walking Step Counter saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, from around 11K in late March to over 26.7K by the end of June. Correspondingly, active users rose from 388K to approximately 647K over the same period. Revenue showed an upward trend, peaking at $1.6K in the final week of June.
